Diagramming your Identity Integration A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words
26:07
Have you ever found yourself explaining your plans and notice that glassy look appear in your colleague’s eyes? Effective diagrams are the most critical tool you can use to concisely convey your message for real impact and understanding. In this session, with an identity management principal architect, we’ll cover the basics of what makes a good diagram, with an eye towards the overall diagram scope, organization and formatting. Higher level artifacts produced with commonly available software introduce the viewer to your designs, but we’ll spend a good deal of time investigating the most useful UML diagrams like component, sequence and use case. Finally, we’ll examine directed graphs and the DOT notation, closing with considerations for printing and some of the best software tools at your disposal.
